when to have dinner?

I'm taking a kickboxing class, Tuesdays and Thursday, at 8pm. I feel like I shouldn't eat afterwards, because I'm not getting home until around 9:20...and that's late, but I'm afraid to eat beforehand, I don't want to be sick to my stomach...anyone have any recommendations?

Definitely eat before... just don't have anything too heavy and try to eat about an hour or so before.

ETA: DH and I do this if we go to the gym later than usual. Then when we get home we have a skinny cow ice cream, yogurt or cereal if we're hungry again.

I would say eat something btw 6-6:30.

i'd aim for 5:30-6.

i used to take a kickboxing class and if i ate too much or too close i didn't want to move in class.

you definitely need to eat something with protein after your class to refuel your body. i would eat something small before and then something with protein after. how far before class totally depends on your body. i like to wait 1-2 hours after eating before i work out.
