When to Call Doctor -- Baby Kicks
I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and have been feeling the baby kick since about 17 weeks. It started out as flutters and now for the last three weeks, there has been somewhat of a scehdule and the kicks are much stronger. I feel the baby kick for about 2-3 hours in the morning when I get to work, then around 2-3 hours before I leave work and again before bed (for 2--3 hours). I also will feel the baby in the middle of the night when I get up to pee.
Yesterday, I felt the baby, but it just seemed like I felt it less. Also, when I got up in the middle of the night (to pee of course), I didn't feel the baby at all. This morning, I have felt the baby, but it seems to be weaker and not as frequent.
So, is it too early in my pregnancy to worry about this -- from what I have read, it says that you don't need to really be counting kicks until 28 weeks? What is your experience with this? Should I call my doctor or give it another day? Thank you!

Re: When to Call Doctor -- Baby Kicks
i am only 2 weeks behind you & have been experiencing the same thing... there are days i feel him on and off the whole day, and days i only feel him here and there -- some days hes stronger than others
i've been told that you dont need to worry about it until 26/28 weeks... but i havent officially spoken to my OB about this yet so maybe some other ladies who are further along can help you out better!

Re: When to Call Doctor -- Baby Kicks
I was told as long as you are feeling something you are ok. Your baby is sleeping a lot, and most of the time it's when you are moving because the motion rocks them to sleep. You will also feel less if they are facing your back.
I am 37 weeks, this kid is taking up my whole mid section and I go through sections of the day where I don't feel anything.
I am sure everything is fine, but if you are really concerned call the doctor. It will help you and that is why they are there!

Re: When to Call Doctor -- Baby Kicks
I was having the same experience around 22 weeks. It felt like the baby would be moving like crazy and then the next day barely anything. Since about 24 weeks, I started feeling it more consistently. I think it just depends on the position of the baby and he/she still has plenty of room in there to move around. I wouldn't be concerned. Many people don't even start to feel the baby move until 22 weeks or so. If its stressing you out, call your doctor and I am sure they will tell you not to worry!!!
