When someone close to you gets preggo..and you just had your first

do you pass on your maternity clothes? My cousin just got pregnant. She has already asked for my clothes and maternity bathing suit. Also added that if she has a boy, she is set with clothes.

Josh is my first, he won't be my last...is it wrong for me not to pass the good on as a loan? She said she will give them back when I get preggo again..but how many times can the same jeans be washed?

My sister & I passed bins of maternity clothes from Jan 2001 to Jun 2003. Worked out well for us.

If she's not the type to return clothes or be careful, may tell her no or that they're packed away or loaned to someone else (on the board, she doesnt have to know otherwise)

I also don't know if Breast Milk stains or not, but none of his clothes have stains on them..

I wouldn't give her all your cloths or all of josh's cloths. I would keep maybe half. I plan on doing this. My SIL is pg with her 1st and if she has a boy and I have a girl then I plan on offering her half and either keeping the rest or selling it.

One of my friends lent me a ton of maternity clothes. I appreciated it so much, it helped so much.

I swaped with my girl friend. she got pregnant first, then I then she again... It's a personal choice and totally up to you.

When I got pregnant, a good good friend of mine loaned me all of her clothes, which was amazingly helpful considerng she's an attorney as well, so she gave me all her maternity suits, which cost a bundle I added onto it with some more clothes, and so when she got pregnant again, I gave her back all her clothes, plus the ones I bought. Now she has everything in bins, waiting to give back to me for #2

I was thinking about passing on some stuff to people who are now preggo and asking for it back. Then I thought twice about it. I don't know what state I will get them back in, if I even get it back. Unless it was my sister (who is way too small for my maternity clothes anyway ), I am not going to lend out my stuff or baby stuff. I do plan on having another and want to keep the stuff in good condition.

I lent my cousin some of my clothes because I had so many I knew I would never get to wear them all - they were also work clothes and she was working, I wasn't. I will get those back and not lend any until I know I'm done. Then I'll give them to who ever wants them.

I lent my maternity clothes to a friend that I knew would take care of them, those I didn't care about as much because I hope to be thinner next time around plus I know I'll want to buy new clothes.
As for the baby clothes I did lend a lot out to friends at first hoping to have a boy next time but then reality sank in that it could be a another girl so I got picky about what I loaned out. I initialed all my labels and really only loaned out things that I wouldn't be super upset about getting ruined.

I didn't give any of my maternity clothes away b/c I hope to get pg again and honestly, my clothes aren't that great anyway!

My best friend got pregnant first, so she bought maternity clothes and gave me all of her "skinny" clothes. Now I am pregnant and I have her maternity and she has my skinny clothes. She plans on getting pregnant in the spring again, so we will do the swap again. It works out great since we are the same size. We both add to the maternity and non-maternity clothes too. We have a deal that we always wash/dry clean the clothes before we trade. We are both so happy that our clothes are getting used.

I just passed on two bags of maternity clothes to a close friend who is pregnant. I did keep some of my favorites because I didn't want to chance them getting ruined. Honestly, though, she is due in June so she may not wear them all that long before the weather changes and she will need summery stuff.

She has already promised to return them in June and loan me some of her own purchases.


As far as baby clothes, we don't seem to know anybody who had a girl last year around this time who would have the right size for the season. And since my friend who is pg (who I loaned the clothes to) is due in June, I don't think I will be able to loan her much if she has a girl because of the season.

I kept my maternity clothes, and a friend whose son is 3 gives me all his clothes since she's done. Her daughter is younger than Sarah, but since I'm not sure I'm done, I told her I'm keeping everything, which she was fine with. I send formula checks her way instead.

I'm holding on to mine, but I just lent a friend some dresses, but I know they'll be worn maybe once and I'll get them back.

A good friend of mine passed down mostly all of her clothes to me and she just had her 1st. Now that I am done I just have to wash them and send them back. I think she is planning on passing them on to someone else. I wouldn't mind passing my stuff on as long as they cam back in good condition and if anything was ruined it was replcaced.

I think I would pass some maternity items on and keep the ones that I really liked and got the most use out of. As for baby clothes, if it was one of my sisters I would pass on Parker's stuff. If not, I'm going to hang onto it in case my 2nd is another girl .

My friend is pregnant and I'm not planning on loaning my clothes. I take good care of my clothes and don't wear clothing with stains. I would hate to get my nice clothes back unwearable. If she asks, I will give her the clothes I don't care much about.

I dont think it should be expected of you to share or even loan.
