When should we start the nursery?
I am 25 weeks now.
Furniture is ordered and my shower isn't for a while. However, we need to paint the room and change the doors to fix it up.
When should I press Dh to start this?

I'm not sure I'm the best person to respond to this question but DH is painting the babies room today and I will be 33 weeks tomorrow. Our crib is ordered already as well-I think my shower is in two weeks so maybe that is why he finally got his act together!

Being that a floor can be a big job and so can painting (if you hate it like me and DH) you should start now! The furniture could come early!

We finished ours at 32 weeks (and not a moment too soon ) but I'd say we started the process about a month prior. We ordered custom blinds, carpet to be bound, painted and replaced all of the hardware (on doors/windows).

you can start now we started early.. so now we know what to get and its not totally expensive

same, we had the room painted and new carpet installed last year, so it was just a matter of cleaning/organizing it and putting together the baby furniture and turning the room from an extra guest room/storage room, into a nursery

Hey Christy my DH and his friend just painted the nursery this weekend. The room had been under construction for a while since it was a total mess. Carpet is going in on Thursday. Pics to come...

We were going to start very early, but we are more superstitious than we thought we would be and I haven't felt up to it. I started to clear out items stored in that room and have gotten ideas but not much tangible is done. I'd still like anything major to be done by 30-32 weeks.
