When is the earliest you can test?
What do you think the earliest is you can test? I know the closer to AF, the better results, but the wait is killing me (and DH!).

Did you trigger? If so, you're going to have to wait to make sure you don't get a false positive! I try to wait until the day AF is due - just because with my two pregnancies I didn't get a BFP until 15DPO

I didn't even realize the trigger can give you a false positive! I am so glad you mentioned it!
Yes, I did trigger with ovidrel LAST Friday (over a week ago). Would that still be in my system?

Re: When is the earliest you can test?
I think so... I think it lasts in your system up to about 10 days...
Just got this from online: Ovidrel may interfere with the results of a blood or urinary hCG (pregnancy) test for up to 10 days. This may lead to a false positive pregnancy test

Re: When is the earliest you can test?
triggers usually stay in your system 1 day for every 1,000 units (so my pregnyl shot of 10,000 units stayed for about 10 days...I was a nut a tested it out too).

Re: When is the earliest you can test?
I know for me, the Ovidrel was still in my system when I tested at 8dpo. I got a positive.
I tested again at 10dpo, and got a BFN.
I managed to hold out until 12dpo, and there it was!!!!

Because I am a PSYCHO, I tested today "for the heck of it". I am only 8po, but wanted to see if the ovidrel was still in my system. Of course, I got a BFN, so can I assume it's out? If I am fortunate to get a BFP later on, can I assume I'm clear of the ovidrel?

Re: When is the earliest you can test?
If you triggered DO NOT test. . .I say this from experience. I tested 9DPO and got a BFN, then on 10 DPO and got a BFN. 13DPO I got a BFP. When I went for my blood test it came back neg. and I was devastated. Save yourself the money from the tests.

Thanks for the advice.
Now I am wondering if I should continue to test later this week. I definitely don't want a false negative.
Has anyone else tested after an IUI?

If you got a BFN today, then YES, the Ovidrel is most likely clear of your system.
Even when I first saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks, I looked over at DH and said "so...does this mean the BFP really CAN'T be from the Ovidrel?"
Best of luck to you...I am praying so hard for you, it's not even funny!!!!!!! I can't wait till the day when I see your good news!
