When is the baby considered full term
and most likely safe to deliver?
I wonder because I am so sick. Aside from the horrific heartburn and other pregnancy issues, I am having a severe flare up of my Crohn's disease. It is unbearable. I have good days and bad, but the bad days I cannot function. Severe pain, fever, chills, etc. I am praying they will allow my c section a little early (now it is scheduled for 5 days before my due date which is April 17) I see my dr. on Tues. but wondering of anyone has insight. Thanks.

The baby is fully developed at 37 weeks. But they can be born before 37 weeks and survive with help of steroids to help their lungs develop. Hope you feel better!!

I believe the baby is considered full term between 36 and 37 weeks. Good luck! Sorry you r having such a difficult time.
