When having a Birthday Dinner at a resturant?

I am having a Surprise dinner for my Mom's Birthday in a few weeks at a restaurant.

There will be about 12 of us. Do I do anything? Add to the table? Give gifts to guests... I'm so clueless.

Do I get her a corsage? I guess I should, right?

I guess I just want a few ideas on some nice touches I can do; that isnt too crazy or over the top.

I would do a picture collage on one of those big boards. I had a surprise party for my sister and I did it, and she loved it.

Maybe even do something where everyone had a pic on their plate.

I would get a small floral center piece for the table(s) and do the picture collage or scatter small framed pics around the room/table. You could also decorate the chair your mom will be sitting in

I would get balloons and flowers in a vase she can take home.

A nice centerpiece of flowers and she can take them home after. Not too big so people can talk to each other.
Some birthday balloons.
You can have a collage of pics made or get some small frames and scatter around the table.
No need for gifts for guests. Are you paying the tab?
A few wine bottles (red and white) at the table and you can even make a funny personalized label for the bottles.

Since it's a small table the flowers aren't even necessary bc the restaurant will probably have a nice centerpiece already. Balloons are fine and pics.

I probably wouldn't do anything. Maybe flowers for her to take home. I personally find corsages a little outdated.

For MIL's 70th birthday, our local florist did a really nice arrangement in a color vase that was decorated that she was able to take home. The vase was a nice memento of the day for her. She loved it.

We also got some balloons that we tied to her chair.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions.

I have decided to type up some fun facts for the year she was born and frame it for the table for a few laughs.

I also want to put a mason jar (with pen/paper) on the table for people to write a favorite memory of them and her so she can read it when shes home.

I'm definitely tying balloons to her chair; and will most likely get her a corsage. She loves those things. I personally cant stand them.

Have the waiter pouring champagne as soon as you sit down. That way everyone has a drink right away and it sets a festive tone.
