when does your 14 month old nap?
Sorry I'm always asking about napping but it's the biggest struggle I have with DD & it drives me insane. I know kids thrive on a nap schedule but I cant seem to get her on one or get her to nap without driving around Does anyone just take it day by day & not worry about when they nap?

when does your 14 month old nap?
DS is 12 mos and we're kinda maybe in the middle of getting down to 1 nap unless we're driving somewhere in the afternoon. But I hope that's not the case and the past 2 days are a fluke!
Typically, he gets a morning nap in 2-3 hrs after waking up (wake up at 8, nap 10:30-11:45). Then an afternoon nap (4-5). And bedtime 8:30-9.
Yesterday we skipped the afternoon nap all together and today he got a car nap quickie in from 1:30-2...
Let's see what tomorrow brings. But they always say that every baby is different. And this is so true for DS and all his baby friends.

At that age, my son was taking 2 naps. The first would be about 1.5-2 hours after waking up (usually around 10) and he'd sleep about 1.5 hours. The second would be like 3-6ish.

Re: when does your 14 month old nap?
My DS is 18 months, but when he was 14 months he was taking 1 nap a day whenever he wanted to. I never had a set time to put him down for a nap, and i still don't. He wakes up around 6am, naps around 11:30-1pm and goes to bed around 8:30. I found that trying to push him to take a nap at a certain time doesn't work. When he's ready, he will nap.

DD takes one nap from about 11:30 to 1:30. On weekends she sometimes adds a 30 minute nap in the morning.

She was doing this for a while (if I would drive her around twice a day, I know it's a bad habit but nothing else works.) Lately, she just wont fall asleep for the second nap, I find myself driving to oshkosh & she's still wide awake & I just wind up driving myself insane. I tried keeping her up until after lunch for 1 long nap & it worked once but the next couple days I tried it, she slept about 20mins & popped up wide awake & wouldn't nap again, she was just tired & miserable the rest of the day. What am I going to do with this girl???

Does your DD have an early lunch or eat after she wakes up? I think I'm going to try to get her to take one long nap again & see how it goes.

Re: when does your 14 month old nap?
13 months and has been taking one nap for a few months now but it's usually 2 hours. Sometimes 3! If he wakes up at 1 he is running around until bedtime which can be as late as 9:30/9:45.

DD is 13 months. She wakes up around 7am, has first nap from approx. 10-12 and then sometimes takes a second one from 3-4. But lately the second one hasn't been happening. She goes to sleep at 7pm.

DS is 14 months. He wakes at 6:30, but will play in his crib for a half hour then naps from 11 to 1:30ish. Sometimes more and sometimes less. Goes to sleep at 6:30 - 6:45. Only one nap.

Re: when does your 14 month old nap?
I could set a timer to my first son - totally on schedule
The second guy (now 14 months) always napped here and there, but always when he felt like it. I could not, no matter how hard I tried, get him on a set schedule.
I have found that if I keep him out and about, I can put him down at either 11ish, or 1 ish (with his brother) and he'll give me a good 2 hours ......
At daycare, he goes down about 11/11:30 and is out for 2 hours
I am lucky that I have good sleepers though
ETA: if there is a car ride longer than 30 minutes all bets are off and they are both passed out - Also, my boys are up between 6 and 7 (depending on if it's a daycare or Grandparent day) and in bed between 8:30 and 9:30 -

Re: when does your 14 month old nap?
DS is almost 15 months and usually takes one somewhere around 11 (he gets up at 7am) and then late afternoon sometime between 3:30-4. on the weekends though its always whenever he falls asleep since we're usually out and about
