When does the diaper changing fiasco end? i.e. screaming fits

My DD HATES when I change her diaper and outfit. Like really really hates it. As soon as I walk toward the changing table she starts to moan and arches her back so that she almost throws herself out of my arms. Then she lays there and screams, arches, stiffens her legs etc. I try to distract her with toys, stuffed animals, singing, tickling her feet, etc. Sometimes she calms down and other times she just cries the whole time. This has been going on since 9M till now at 11M. She doesn't crawl or walk yet so its not like she is trying to crawl away. I don't get it and she is such a good baby otherwise and it makes me feel so bad to see these big tears streaming.

Oh and she is an absolute angel when other people change her diaper. Sometimes she gives DH or my mom fits but usually she is so good. I just wonder why she hates it so much when I do it lol and when this is going to end!!! I hope soon!

Have you tried changing her on the floor or bed instead of the changing table? My dd is also 11 months and I've been changing her on the floor. It's easier on me not to worry she's going to roll or crawl off the table. And I keep a bunch of toys around her to try to keep her entertained. She still will cry and fight it a lot like your daughter though. I think at this age it might just be that they'd rather be playing and exploring. I try to keep it really quick and then as soon as the diaper is on I let her start crawling and then I follow her and put her clothes on when she finds something she wants to play with. It also might be because of teething pain. Laying flat is supposed to make the pain worse I've heard.

I did the floor and would tickle and kiss His & her tummy as I changed. This would make crying stop most the time.

The last 2 months have been hard here too! I try to do the diaper as quickly as possible giving her a toy to hold, then sit and stand her to put the clothes on.

Yeah its just weird that she gives me the fits and not anyone else! Ugh!

I have tried the floor and she rolls away naked and flails around and I don't want poop all over her rug lol!

DS is 11m and I still want to strangle myself every time I have to change his diaper. It takes about 10 minutes because he gets upset, starts crying, wiggles and then he will eventually get up to try and get off the changing table as if he has somewhere to go.

My dd started doing that around 12 months and still hasn't stopped. Shes 15 months. But she does it with everyone. I usually give her a toy and she stops but not always. I don't know if I should just retire the changing table all together. but I feel like where would I change her and especially after a bath where would I put her? I change her on the floor sometimes as well if the fit gets really bad but Im waiting for it to stop Lol

My DS is 17 months and I see no end in sight. He started fighting the changes around 7 months or so but at least back then he was easier to handle, lol. Diaper changes are a big production no matter where we do them. I've tried on the floor, in front of the TV but none of those made a difference. I do keep a bucket of toys near the changing table but usually the most successful changes are the morning and night ones when he is drinking a bottle while getting changed

Going through the same thing, DS has been like this for a little while, diaper changes and dressing him is a task I do not look forward to since he always fights me. I have to grab anything for him to play with which keeps his attention for all of 5 seconds.

DD is 16 months and still fighting it. I can't changer her on the changing table anymore. A few times she nearly threw herself off. I have to change her on the floor now and it's still a struggle, sometimes I need to almost get on top of her to keep her in place. There have been times I need DH to help me b/c I can't contain her on my own. Im hoping it starts to ease up soon.
