When does milk come in?

I'm 26 weeks and have had zero sign of leakage.

I plan on EBF so I am eager to get some sort of something going on in there.

You will start to get colostrum but not milk until after the baby is born - usually 3 or 4 days after birth. I'm at 31 weeks and have not leaked at all yet, but my Baby Center email for this week said I may start leaking colostrum soon.

I never leaked anything, my boobs never felt different while pregnant, ever. And, they barely grew. But I successfully BF DD, so don't worry

I'm 35 weeks and have not leaked at all though my boobs have gotten much bigger in the past week or so.

I went to a BF class last night and they said that they are already filled with colostrum and that once the placenta is delivered, a signal is sent to your brain to produce the milk, which usually comes in within a couple of days. The first day or two you are feeding the baby colostrum.

I'm 37 weeks today and haven't had any leakage either...

The delivery of the placenta is what triggers the start of milk production. Be happy you're not leaking, you won't appreciate it when it starts.

Trust me, the milk is there... it's rare that you get any signs of it until the baby comes. So be patient, you still got more than a few weeks to go.

You may start to leak a little right about the time you give birth, but the colostrum should be there right after the baby is born. Milk comes a few days later.

2-4 days after you give birth is when your milk comes in.

I never leaked either. I had my baby on tuesday and milk came on on saturday

I'm 6d postpartum now - I never leaked beforehand but it's def. in now (has been for a few days)

i'm 38 weeks and haven't had any colustrum! i hope it's in there!

I leaked a few drops at 32 weeks, only the left side. Its been a week and hasn't happened again yet.

I never leaked colostrum and I am successfully BFing my DS. Don't worry about it. It probably doesn't happen for everyone.

ETA: My DS was born Tuesday evening and my milk came in on Friday. (I also had a c/s. They say that sometimes that delays it, but it didn't for me.)

I have leaked little drops a few times but nothing substantial The first time I noticed it was 32 weeks.

Never leaked with DD#1, it came in about 4 days after her birth. So far no leaking with this one either and I am about 37 weeks.
