When do you send out birthday invites

My moms 60th birthday party is mid August.

When would you send out invites and when would your RSVP date be?

I need at least 3 weeks before the party to know a final head count but I don't want wait that long. How much can I push an early RSVP date?

just sent out dd's and the party is july 8th. so i would say around a month before or a little more

ETA: I put the RSVP as June 24th. If you need 3 weeks notice, send out the invites about 7 weeks before the party. That gives them around 3 weeks to RSVP, and you have 3-4 weeks until the party to give a headcount

I would mail the invites out mid June if you can- summer is busy.. I would typically make the rsvp date by the end of july but if you need more time make it for whenever you need it

I'd send out 6-8weeks ahead or so, but tell people to save the date if you can.

Send invites out mid June. I would make RSVP date mid July if you need at least 3 weeks notice. This way it gives you time to chase people.

I would send them two months before since summer is so busy.

As far as the RSVP date, if you NEED to know three weeks before, I would base the RSVP date on your crowd.

If you know you're going to have a decent number of people who have to be tracked down for an answer, put it four weeks before. If you know most people will respond, maybe three weeks and two days before is fine.
