When do you pre-register at the hospital?

Does anyone know when the best time is to do this?

Re: When do you pre-register at the hospital?

we went for a tour at the hospital about 3 or 4 weeks before our due date, and we brought the paperwork with us then. i had received the forms from my doctor several weeks before that though, and would have mailed them in if i hadn't planned on a hospital tour.

I had time before my perinatologist appt one day about 2 weeks ago so I shot over and registered. Im high risk and was not sure when or where I was going to deliver until I made it past 32 weeks. I'm 37+ now. Chat Icon

I kind of remember the hospital calling me to preregister with DD. Maybe because I had an induction scheduled?

My OB had me do this paperwork at my 12 week visit. They submit it to Winthrop for me.

Same with me - I did it around 26 weeks. They lost my pre registration form with DS and registering was miserable - they verbally asked us all the questions on the form and it took forever and the woman screwed it up and put down Cigna instead of GHI so we had an insurance nightmare (even though she had a copy of the card).

My OB gave them to me at one of my last visits and I filled it out in the office before leaving. I was about 24 weeks along at that point.
