When do presents go under the tree?

We don't do the "Santa brings the presents" thing, so we have presents under the tree already (although, in hindsight, that might not have been a good idea. 5yo DD wants to open them now... )

If Santa doesn't bring all, or any, presents, when do you put them under the tree?

I used to put out ones for family from us under the tree. Now with crazy dd I didn't put them out.

But I would not put them out until Christmas eve/day. Whenever I plan on giving them and just say these are from mom and dad, Santa brought these. We don't give gifts until christmas day. We exchange with some family on Christmas eve. But our presents to her on christmas morning.

I put them out Christmas Eve. Plus I wouldnt want guessing going on. Some gifts are dead giveaways.

In our house the presents from "Santa" don't get put under the tree until after DS goes to bed on Christmas Eve.

All the rest get put under the tree as soon as I have the time to wrap them. I plan on starting to wrap this week so that I don't leave it until the last minute like usual.

ETA: He's too young (26 months) to fully understand that some presents are from mom and dad and some from Santa, so for this year, all presents for him that WE bought, are from Santa. Gifts to family members and that we bought for family members do not in any way involve Santa.

Right now all presents in house are from Santa so they go under tree after little ones are usually after midnight...

Santa presents are put under the tree after DD is in bed on Xmas Eve. The only gifts I keep under the tree are gifts we're giving to family and friends and she never bothers with them. She's know they aren't for her.
