When did your LO go to one nap?

DS is about 10 months old and both yesterday and today he took only one nap (2-3 hours) and it seems to be a success. Is it early for this change or just a sign that he's ready for one?

(He doesn't nap nearly as well at daycare during the week which concerns me.. he does two 1/2 hour-45 min naps a day.)

Daycare could be b/c of different noises. He's in the infant room right? So probably still on his schedule. And sleeps when he wants which means other kids are up. Talking playing etc. At least in the dc I worked in

At daycare she went down to one nap around 14 mos., I think because she was in the car with me for a 45-min ride each way where she would nap. At home, she just went to 1 nap at the end of our summers home together, around 20 months.

DD was the same, 10-11 months. It took her a while to consistently do a 3 hour stretch but once she did it was great. She still does the same now at 2.5.

this is what I'm thinking. in the room he's in now, they try to nap the kids around the same time in the morning and afternoon, but of course it's not a perfect science and the atmosphere is much different there compared to his room at home when he naps. good to know that he seems right on schedule though for dropping a nap otherwise! thank you!

DD is 19 months. Depending on our schedule she may take just one or two naps. Her naps are usually 1 1/2-2 hours.

DD started to transition to one nap around 11-12 mos and now at 13 1/2 mos, depending on what is going on, is pretty much down to one nap.

DS transitioned to one nap at about 16 months when he moved up to the toddler room at daycare. Probably could have done it sooner.
