when did your dc start teething biscuits or bitter biscuits?

on earths best wheat teething biscuits it says 9+ months and on gerber biter biscuits it says when baby is crawling.

ds is neither (7 1/2 months and just rocking) but i hear about other babies his age eating these and wanted to know if i could try it. which do you think i should tryy first?

we gave them to Kaitee at 4 1/2 months.

omg i tried it tonight b/c ds is still refusing solids...what a mess! next time he takes a bath after NOT before the biscuit. but he did love it.

My kids loved to gum them, so they got them starting around 5 or 6 months.

I think they say 9 months because they have wheat in them.

To answer your questions- we gave them just shy of 8 months. We gave him the ones from Healthy Times (organic).

I wasn't a fan of them for DS. He would have half in his mouth and where his lips touch the biter biscut it would cut off and then he would have a large chunck in his mouth. Their was one that I did give him but it made a huge mess and I can't think of what it is. It looks like a biscotti cookie but for babies.

I just tried the Zwiback (sp?) with DS who is 8 1/2 months. He doesn't really get them... He tastes it, and seems to like it, but then he drops it or starts banging it on the high chair tray. He never really gets to eat any of it. Crums go everywhere and he needs a bath afterward. Doesn't seem worth it!

I also started giving him puffs which he doesn't like. He gags terribly and puts his fingers in his mouth to try to get it out! I don't know what to do!
