We are starting on Sunday, they will be 7 months.
I think they are ready now because they want more ounces of formula at lunch than the other bottles during the day.
ETA: We didn't introduce solids until 5 months.

Not until the middle of 7 months. We only started solids at a week shy of 6 months though.

It was probably around 6 months. He would have cereal for breakfast, yogurt for lunch and then cereal and veggies/fruit for dinner.
