When did you tell work?
I'm trying to decide weather to tell work now that I had my 1st sono and all looks ok or wait another 6 weeks once I'm out of my first trimester.
One one hand I don't want to tell anyone now because anything can still happen, but I also want to let my boss know in case I'm not where I should be at a certain time because I'm in the bathroom or the side of the road sick to my stomach .

Re: When did you tell work?
I told my direct boss only around 10-11 weeks because I was coming late to work a lot from not feeling well and also missing some time mid day for appointments (I had to go to the Doctor 3 times b/w 6w and 10w because we thought my first appointment was at the 8w mark but the baby it turned out I was only 6w at that time). He was very understanding and kept it to himself. I let the cat out of the bag to everyone else a week or 2 later.

When did you tell work?
I was seeing an RE for 3 months, which required alot of time off for appts. and testing, so my boss knew what we were going through. I told him the good news at 8.5 weeks. I'm only 10 wks now and I still have not told any of my co-workers. I'll prob tell them in a few weeks.

Re: When did you tell work?
I'm a teacher...I told my principals at 13 weeks because I was telling my own girls and knew they would tell a lot of the teachers that they know...in the past, I have waited until 20 weeks, but honestly, I might not have been able to wait that long with this pregnancy.

Re: When did you tell work?
I told my supervisor and 2 of my close coworkers at 6 weeks, but I am waiting until 16+ weeks to tell HR. I am not planning to tell my boss because he is a pompous jerk and made an announcement several months ago that health related stuff was neither his concern nor his business. At some point someone will say something to him or he will figure it out. I am assuming at some point it will become difficult to hide.

Re: When did you tell work?
I'd wait until I was out of the first trimester. I started telling people at work after my NT scan.

When did you tell work?
I had actually interviewed for a position while I was pregnant so they knew pretty early on, I didn't want to start a job and then be like "OH SURPRISE, I'm pregnant!!" So they knew when the interview process started at around 8ish weeks. At the job I was in some of my co-workers knew around that same time but I didn't tell my boss until I actually resigned at 12 weeks. That probably would have been when I told him anyway had I stayed.

When did you tell work?
My boss I told at 5 or 6 weeks both times but I work in an environment where they need to know IMO. 12ish weeks, maybe it was a bit longer for "everyone else" at work.

So for you ladies that spilled the beans at 16w, did everyone react like they KNEW b/c you were starting to show or they had other suspicions? I am trying to hold out as long as humanly possible at work.....I've told my boss and that's it (she's very understanding about appts and such). I lost a good amount of weight in the months leading up to getting pregnant (long story lol) and now I'm wondering if it will be MORE obvious that I'm pregnant if I have a little belly bulge, UGH! I feel like everyone is staring at me since I ordered orange juice at happy hour 2 weeks ago! (for the record I blamed it on having a cold, which was actually true!).
eta: I'm currently 9w4d...I'd love to hold out until 16 weeks if I can!!

When did you tell work?
I told my boss the day before my NT scan. Someone in my department had just quit and I didn't want my boss thinking I went on a job interview since I had to leave early for my doctor's appointment. I didn't let others know until after the NT scan though.

First I said 12w...but now I'm 14w and still haven't told. Maybe next week or the week after, and then i can stop covering up lol.
