When did you switch to Stage 2 baby food?

I know my Ped said when we go through all of stage 1 foods. I feel like we pretty much have... except for prunes. For some reason I fear it. LOL!

honestly we only used stage 1 for like a month. It was way too thin. DS really started enjoying food once we entered stage 2. So I'd say by 3.5-4mos-stage 2.

Thanks! We started DS late on food b/c he wasn't ready at 4 months then got a bad cold so it made it even harder. He started eating around 5 months so has been on stage 1 for almost a month now. I think it's time to start stage 2.


Do you also do oatmeal with stage 2 or it doesn't need since it's mixed in? Does everyone go to barley and all the other grains? We've only done oatmeal.

we went straight to stage 2 at 6 weeks old... ds was already downing 8 oz of cereal at a sitting... by the time he was 3 months ld he was on 7 stage 2 jars a day
