When did you switch from the infant carseat to the convertable one?
My ds is 4 1/2 months ols and really doesnt fit in his infant carrier anymore. I can hardly snap him in esp if he has a sweater on. I switched him to his infant carrier today and he just seems so lost in it. It is for newborns and up so I know it is ok for him.
btw he is about 16lbs.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I just switched DD this past weekend. She's 6 1/2 months. I would have switched sooner but I didn't want to give up the convenience of the BundleMe!

by 4 months with all 3 kids. They were all 16-19 lbs at that point.

When DD was 5 months, she was about the size of your DS, and she was just so unconfortable in the infant seat, she screamed every time we got in the car. We had to switch her then.

We switched DS 3 weeks ago, shortly after he turned 5 months. He didn't exceed the height/weight limit on the infant seat, he was just getting too heavy for me to carry in it and I thought he would be happier in his convertible seat. I have to admit it's been such a PITA since we switched.. but he definitely likes his big boy seat.

Derek is going to be 6 months next week and I think it is time. He is WAY too heavy to carry in the infant carrier anymore.

Liam never used an infant seat and was always in the Britax convertable. So your DC will be fine. They are rated for five pounds.

By 4 months I had to put DS in his convertible because I could not carry the infant seat and he would scream his head off. He was much happier in the convertible at that point and driving was easier.

DD#1 was 11 months (she was 28.5 inches and 19 lbs and change - the seat said UP to 29 inches).
DD#2 I have a snugride 32. She is 9 months and still fits but it is starting to get on the smaller side. I hope to make it 2 more months but we shall see (she was 19 lbs and 28.5 inches 2 weeks ago at her last well visit.)

we have the snugride 32 too...Sammie was in it for 14 mos. since she was a peanut! Kristina is almost 9 and still snuggling in...she's getting heavy but its so much easier with having two kids!

We switched at 9 months-we also hadthe snugride 32 and just moved to the Graco Myride 65
