When did you start to potty train your DD?
My DD will be 23 months on Thursday. People are telling me I should start to potty train her. I personally don't think she is ready but it could be me that isn't ready.
So I was just wondering when others have started to potty train their girls
Were there any signs that made you realize it was time?
I have been mentioning the toilet to her for like a month now and I have asked her do you want to sit on the toilet and she screams no and runs away. So I feel like I shouldn't push it yet.
Just looking for others experiences.
TIA

Re: When did you start to potty train your DD?
If you don't think she's ready- don't push it!
I started when DD was 22m, but the situation wasn't right (she was interested and willing- but still having 6 accidents a day and we had renovations going on in our house- so it wasn't easy to just put her on the potty)
I stopped for awhile and did it again when she turned 2. This time it was perfect.
She is in undies 24/7 now (3 months later). She still has accidents some days, but she's doing well.
It's easy for other people to say she's ready- but you know best.
Good luck!

When did you start to potty train your DD?
DD is 22 months and we haven't started yet. She knows what the potty is for and has gone a few times, but I don't think she's fully ready yet.
Ultimately, if YOU feel like she's ready then go for it. If you don't feel like she is, then I'd hold off. We have friends whose youngest wasn't potty trained until she was about 3 1/2 because the little girl just wasn't interested and wasn't ready.

Re: When did you start to potty train your DD?
dd was a month older then 2 years old and it was spring break (Im a teacher) that was why I decided to give it a try that week. It went very well... it was a year later that she was trained at bedtime though.

Re: When did you start to potty train your DD?
DD#1 I started at 27 months. It took only 3 days and a few accidents to be fully day time trained. She was night trained at 32 months.
DD#2 asked to sit on the toilet before her bath at 24 months(I had fully planned to wait until she was 27 months but she had other plans) and only 6 days later and a few accidents she was fully day trained. She was night trained at 25 months.

Re: When did you start to potty train your DD?
We started potty training at the end of june when DD was 25 months. It took a week. It's been about a month now and she has done really well. We got rid of diapers completely except for when she sleeps.

Re: When did you start to potty train your DD?
My dd is 23 months and while I would love to potty train her now I don't think she is ready. She has been through a lot of change lately with the new baby in the house. We plan on taking the pacifer away next month and that I hope to start potty training in Oct when she is 25-26 months.

When did you start to potty train your DD?
Dd was 2.5 when I finally went cold turkey, no diapers. I kept waiting for a school break (I'm a teacher) but finally just went for it. Dd wa more than ready and I really should have done it sooner. It was more me than her - she was peeing and pooping on a potty when we suggested it and put her on it, we just needed to take the jump. She trained over the weekend with very few accidents.

Re: When did you start to potty train your DD?
Dd is 21 months and asks to sit on the potty, so I let her. I don't want to discourage her. We bought her an Elmo potty and she has peed in it a couple of times. She will be 2 at the end of oct, and dh is a teacher, so I am just going to let her do her own thing until Christmas break. Then she will be 26 months and I think she will be ready,

Re: When did you start to potty train your DD?
my dd was 24 months and trained in 1.5 days. she showed no overt signs of being ready (she didnt want to sit on the potty, etc.), but I was ready to train her and surprisingly she did!
i say go for it, but if you do you need to do it with no diapers or pull ups and you need to give it a solid week before giving up. you never know, your daughter may surprise you too!

DD is 22 months and I am in NO rush... I am lazy and love the convenience of diapers..
