When did you start giving your baby teething cookies?

My mom said I don't have to wait until she actually has teeth but I think I'm too nervous!

I'm not, but that's because I'm so scared of her breaking off a piece and choking on it. I know it's not supposed to happen, but I've heard it does more often than I'm comfortable with. DD doesn't really chew on everything -- mostly her hand and the sides of her pacifiers. I do plan to do some sort of dissolving puff cereal soon, but I realize that's for a different purpose. For me, I feel like if she needs teethers, she can bite her many plastic or crinkly toys.

No teething cookies yet at 16m, and he has a bunch of teeth now. I don't like the sugar, I feel like its junk food and I am still nervous about the pieces.

But, I gave MumMums at around 5m, when DS didn't have any teeth, but was teething sooo bad. He finally broke teeth at 6m.

I later found something similar to MumMums called
Kim's Magic Pop and it is the same texture as MumMums but there is no sugar in them.

They are crunchy and fall apart into pieces but the texture is not like a cookie, its very unique, kind of like cotton candy in a way that it melts away very easily. No teeth required.

I really don't like teething cookies. I fell like they are choking hazards. I actually gave one to my DS once and he choked on a piece of it. It was vary scary. I do not know why I went against my own feelings and gave it to him in the first place.
