When did you start giving DC...
cheerios, puffs, etc? DD will be 7 months this week and I gave her a few puffs today and she seemed to like them...I also want to start table food too, do I reallly have to wait until she's crawling like the box says??

They were about 7-8 months when I started them. I think they go by "crawling" because babies usually start to crawl between 6-9 months.

Re: When did you start giving DC...
I started puffs and cheerios about mid 8th month. My dr said to hold off until at least 9 months because they are nothing but a choking hazard and not necessary at all so he scared into waiting as long as I did. I started most table foods in his 11th month. I did a few things before then but not much like cereal, puffs, teething cookies and cheese.
I think crawling has to do with control and sitting up. You wouldn't want to feed a baby solid table food if they aren't in control of sitting up and their head and stuff like that. At least that was my take on it.

I haven't asked my ped yet... I understand them needing control of course... DD sits up perfectly fine on her own so I thought maybe I would start.
