When did you start

When did you start going to Babies R Us (or similar store) and actually looking at all the things and figure out what you are going to put on your registry?

I have looked online (so confusing!). I have the Baby Bargains book (thanks anon Chat Icon ), but I don't know when I should actually go to the store and start to touch/feel/see things and start a registry? It seems so overwhelming.

Advice, tips? I am 15 weeks today Chat Icon

Re: When did you start

It never hurts to start early.
I think we started to go at 19-20 weeks.
But there is soooo much research involved, I should have started earlier.

I say go whenever you want. It's never too early to go and look at the stuff in person.

Re: When did you start

Let me also say - what I think helped me, is that I would go and look at only a couple of things first.
For instance, the first time we went, we looked at car seats and strollers.
The next time we looked at highchairs and pack n plays.
It is soooo much easier in my own opinion, otherwise, it can get VERY overwhelming!

Normally...I'm a big planner...but I think I'm procrastinating because I don't know where to begin when I actually get to the store. Chat Icon

do what Marcie said and look at one major thing at a time, cause it is VERY overwhelming to do it all at one time. Plus take a look at the new moms must have list on the BRU website, that will focus you a little.

Re: When did you start

I really messed up with my bridal registry, so I don't want to make the same mistake. I was pressed for time and went gun crazy. Little by little I am reading reviews online and such. I don't think I am having a shower, so I am trying to stay on the more conservative level.
