When did you retire the exersaucer?

DS is 9 months (well will be on Sat) and rarely goes in his exersaucer anymore. He'd much rater be pulling up on the couch, cruising, crawling, etc.

Just wondering when other people put it away?

I hate that it takes up such a huge part of my family room! Chat Icon

DS is 10 months and I just put it away. I probably could've done it sooner b/c the last 2 months he really only went in it when I had to run to the basement or go to the bathroom. Once he started cruising he pretty munch would only tolerate it for about 5 minutes.

We put ours away pretty early. She hated being confined once she could cruise/crawl/walk. We prob put it away around 9/10 months or so. If we needed to contain her we put her in the PNP.

8 months. She really hated it though. Nothing like Andrew. He would fall asleep in it. I gave it up much later for him and also he was a late walker (13 months) so he was fine in it longer.

DS is 11.5 months. He does not like it nearly as much as he did at first but it is our "baby jail".

At 12 months we put it way, but a friend gave us a FP jumperoo which was less constricting for DD so now she bounces around in that. She is not walking yet but cruises around her gated play yard. I figure I will put the jumperoo away once she is walking. Chat Icon

as soon as dd could crawl and cruise, she was pretty sick of both the exersaucer and jumperoo. so--at about 7.5 mths they both went away. actually, my parents (who watch her) kept the jumperoo around, but she goes in like once or twice a week for 1-2 minutes at a time, and that's it.

Re: When did you retire the exersaucer?

DS is almost 12 months old and we still have it out. He hasn't been in it regularly for months. I still use it if I need to do something quickly and don't want him crawling around.

Re: When did you retire the exersaucer?

DD is almost 9 months old and is starting to "protest" going in it...she cries for a few seconds and then is OK....she only last about 10 mins though where she used to be in there for up to an hour at a time! So I am sure in another month or so, it will be gone

Re: When did you retire the exersaucer?

DS's exersaucer is at my babysitter's house. He's way too big for it but she still puts him in from time to time. I was thinking of asking for it back in a few weeks.

DS is 10 months old, and we are packing up the exersaucer and jumperoo this weekend Chat Icon He rarely uses them, and we need room for our xmas tree, and the new toys we are buying him lol.
