When did you move on from the pull ups at night and when out?
Yesterday was 3 weeks since we started potty training and it's going great. He had 1 pee accident the 1st day...1 pee accident a few days later and has been fine since.
He has woken up dry every morning except for one but I just didn't get to him fast enough. He won't get out of bed when he wakes up he calls me in so he literally peed as I got to him.
We go out all of the time and he has never ever had an accident in the pull up.
I am petrified to let him sleep and leave the house with underwear although he seems ready.
How long after being accident free did you switch to underwear full time? He wears them all day long and when we go outside to play now.

I believe we stopped using the pull up at night after about a month.
Honestly from the time she was potty trained during the day...she was trained at night as well. She was in a bed by then and she got up and went to the bathroom herself

Re: When did you move on from the pull ups at night and when out?
I never used Pull-ups EVER.. to me, they are a glorified diaper and defeat the purpose
I carried a towel and a change of clothes/underwear and socks (in case it drips down) in the car with me in case they had an accident.
for bed, they'd sleep in their underwear and I'd use the mattress covers and they were great.. the few times they did have an accident, I'd just change them out of their wet clothes and remove the mattress cover and swap in the new one.. so no sheet changing was needed.

Re: When did you move on from the pull ups at night and when out?
I didn't use pull-ups during the day at all (except for when I knew she was about to poop because poop training didn't happen for a month after potty training started). I had a change of clothes and my Potette with me at all times in the beginning and DD only had accidents the first week of training and after her brother was born, so I attribute it to that.
At night, I stopped using pull-ups after a month. She had no nighttime accidents.
I agree with bicosi that pull-ups are just a glorified diaper. My DD called them diapers -- she actually wore pull-ups for several months before she was potty trained because she was too big for diapers and they did NOTHING to encourage her to use the toilet.

He won't go to the bathroom on his own at night but he would call me in if needed. For some reason he just never gets out of bed alone which has always been a blessing...lol.
He seems to be ready for it but it's just me holding back. Maybe tonight i'll give him the choice. We have a waterproof cover on the mattress so that wouldn't be an issue.
Why am I so scared...lol.

Rylan doesn't see the pull ups as diapers...he knows he can't pee or poop in them and hasn't except for the one morning.
I only have about 8 left and don't want to buy more...lol..

Re: When did you move on from the pull ups at night and when out?
I think it took us a couple of months for overnight, but for going out of the house, it was only a couple of weeks. My boy can hold his pee, though.
I always put a pull up on over his underwear. That way, it helped prevent leaking, but he still felt wet and uncomfortable when he had an accident. Since they were on over his undies, I would also re-use them if they were dry and he was only in them for an hour in the car.
