When did you introduce the sippy cup?
I am thinking when he can sit up by himself and is stable at it, is that a right time?

I've been trying it with Isabella, she's 6 months. She just bits it, but once in a while she'll get a little out of it. I'm just giving her some practice.

I started trying it at 6 months but she really didn't get the concept until probably around 9 months -- and even now at 1 year she'll only drink about half of it at a time.

she's getting there. I give it to her when she's in the highchair or sitting up on the couch.

I started Sara with water in a sippy cup at 6 months. she takes a few sips and then throws it on the floor.

Jacob is 9 1/2 months and still cant drink from it.. he doesnt even hold his bottle yet..

Since my daughter never took the bottle, I did at 4 months, then at 7-8 months she started drinking from a straw cup.
eta: yes, my daughter was sitting up on her own with the straw cup, but not with the sippy cup. I held it for her then.
