When did you go to get bloodwork --UPDATE!

I got a faint line yesterday 10DPO and this morning at 11 DPO same faint line on a cple HPT's.

Should I go to my doctor today to get bloodwork? Or is it too early? Will it show in my blood that I am pregnant at 11DPO?

Please help TY

UPDATE: So I called and they saidI can gotoday to have the nurse draw blood to confirm they gave me an appointment for 2/14 to hear the heartbeat!..VALENTINES DAY

I didn't get any bloodwork from my OB - she told me to come in about 7-8 weeks from my LMP and we did a sono to confirm.

Just call your OB's office and let them know that you just got a + on an HPT and would like to know when you need to come in to confirm and have first appointment.

Every doc is different, some don't bother with betas and confirmation, and may not schedule you until you are 6-8 wks or more, while others bring you in immediately...it depends on your office and medical history.

So I would just call them and find out what their policy is.

as the PP said... just call your OB and mention you got a BFP. They'll set up an appointment. Mine was around 6 - 7 weeks and the sono confirmed the pregnancy. Got to see and hear the HB

Sometimes it's better to wait a few weeks to confirm everything and then your OB will take it from there. Too early they can't see much. Even though it may be the longest 2 - 3 weeks of your life it'll be worth it and till then take care of yourself. Taking prenatal vits, eat healthy, etc.

I would try a digital to confirm. Then once I missed my period I called my doctor to make an appointment and they had me come in at the end of the week to POS and do blood work. My next appointment was at 8 weeks for the sono and to meet with my doctor.

Just to add they confirmed with basically a HPT when I was there and didn't confirm with my bloodwork. When I met with my doctor at 8 weeks we went over the bloodwork and she said everything came back normal.

I had my first appointment at 6 weeks. I would give your doc a call. But every OB is different. Some will make you wait until 8 or even 12 weeks before seeing you.

never did . .same as many just waited until the 7-8 week time frame and they confirmed with a sonogram. . so never had blood taken. .

got my bfp the day of my missed ...confirmed 2 weeks later (at 6 weeks)

I called dr a few days after bfp, they said unless I was high risk or had history of mc, they don't do
blood work that early. So I had it done at 8 wks.

My OB's office had me come in a week after getting my BFP for a quick blood test (I think I was lat 5 1/2 weeks)..my first appointment was a week after the blood test at 6 1/2 weeks.

I then had a follow up 2 weeks later.

Every OB's office is different though.

CONGRATS!!!!!

I think I got my bfp at 13dpo and went in the next morning for a beta. They let me come in because with the timing we wanted to tell family at the holidays which would be before my first appt, so a beta would at least confirm that I was pregnant. Then my numbers came back "low" because I had a long cycle and they were dating my pregnancy based on LMP, so they called me in for a second beta the following week.

ahhhh so exciting! I remember you from the TTC board. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and I got my BFP at like 13 DPO, and went in the next day for bloodwork. It was 200. Then I got it again 3 days later and it was 2,000.

Good luck! I've been going in a lot because I'm high risk because I had two miscarriages. Most drs wont see you after the initial bloodwork to confirm until 6-8 weeks.

your numbers might be a tad low just because it's early... but they will prob have you come in for a 2nd blood test to make sure the numbers are doubling... that's what's most important.
