when did prenatals get so $$$$$$$$$$
I went to refill yesterday 60.99????????????????????????? they used to 37.00!!!!!!!!!

Yeah mine were 50 bucks a month until I found out my insurance (Oxford) has a mail order program where I buy them for $4!!!!!

I always used over the counter prenatals and never had a problem. Maybe ask your doctor what their thoughts are around this. I would have gotten a prescription if I didn't ask if that was ok. I took them with both son's.

I have a mail order program too with BCBS, I should find out
its 60.99 for 1 month supply!!!!!!!!!!!!

dh's lovely ghi plan doesnt cover the prenatals, and they are like $69 or something like that each month.

get the OTC ones, they are perfectly safe and only about 10 bucks...no need to throw money away IMHO

MommyG, are they generic or name brand. I have United Healthcare and pay $7 for my RX (generic) ask your Pharmacist what the script is for..name brands cost a lot more...

Do some research- I paid $60 for my first prenatal, because it's what the doctor's office gets paid to push. But after some digging, and some serious hassel, I am now paying $15 for 3 months, for the one that my insurance covers best.

I use OTC.... something like $10 for 200 pills.... and then take expecta (OTC, can buy on drugstore.com) for the DHA....
