when are u suposed to ask someone to be a godparent?
im due in feb and we havent done it yet...bc we also dont agree on the godfather

I dont think there is a set time. Once you know for sure, you can always ask the person (s). Or you can just wait until after the birth of the baby and decide then... its all up to you!!
BTW, I cant believe you are due in February That is amazing. It just seems like yesterday that I sent you a FM.

We asked my Aunt to be Godmother or Christmas, because we wanted to do something nice for her.
My BIL we are going to ask to be godfather and not till after the baby is born.

We asked Jason's godparents for Christmas and gave them each a frame that said "My Godson" with his photo on it. I have to say I was shocked at how emotional both were about being asked.
There is no set time except before the christening.

I think we are asking when the baby is born when they come to visit us in the hospital.

we already asked the God Father...but not the God Mother, because DH and I were deciding between his sister and my cousin. We decided on my cousin and at this point I'm going to have the baby ask her when she comes to visit me in the hospital.

We are going to wait until the baby is born. We know who the godfather will be although not so sure on our choice for godmother.

We asked when we told them we were preggo (that was actually how we told them) - we got them "World's Greatest Godmother/Godfather" T-Shirts. We always knew who ours would be so there was no sense in waiting. For the second baby it will be much harder I think because we are already disagreeing on that one.

I think my sister has an idea we will be asking her (yes, Ive hinted..LOL) but I don't think my BIL has an idea we are asking him. When they come to visit in the hospital we will ask. Maybe I can even make them each a "Will you be my godparent?" card..

I had my daughter in February and we asked my sister and BIL in January to be the god parents - I wanted them to be there and wanted them to create a special bond with her when she was born.
I found it so special to ask them before the baby was born - but everyone is different.

I asked my brother and SIL right before the baby was born. I actually wanted to ask AFTER the baby was born, but my SIL kept asking me who I was going to ask. I know she was dying to be the Godmother, I couldn't keep avoiding the question
