Did you pack your hospital bag?
When did you take your hospital tour (and would you take a tour again, if you took one with your first DC but that was 6+ years ago? Same hospital?)

I am 34 weeks with #3.
Bag is almost packed. Just have to figure out some clothes to put in it for me to wear home, etc.
No tour. I am delivering at same hospital as my other 2. It's been 6 years, I am sure tons has changed, but no worries on my end.
Pre-registration paperwork was done at my OB's office sometime in my 20-22 week. My OB hands it in and takes care of all insurance stuff for me.
No internals yet, I have my 34 weeks appt in an hour or so!
I've been getting NST and biophysical profiles every week because I have GD and high blood pressure being controlled by meds. I never had one in either of my other pregnancies.
I should get a sense of my new few weeks later today. I am dying to know if my OB will let me labor and try to avoid c/s, but I think with the GD and high BP, he might err on the side of caution and schedule a c/s. I am really ok with either (would prefer v-birth), but I just want to know!

I think I packed my hospital bag around 36 wks, I was convinced I'd be early...lol...I was very late. I have a list going now, won't pack for a while though. I feel like as long as I have the list, even DH can do it if need be...hopefully! Lol
I took the tour early on because it was with a meet the midwives night and I wanted to see if the practice was a good fit for me...so first trimester. The hospital has a new L and D but I'm having a sch c/s so I won't go for another tour.
I had a scheduled induction, I believe the hospital called and took my info over the phone a few days prior. I could be totally wrong, it seems like a big blur.
First internal was at 40 wks, my first NST between 40-1 weeks.

Packed my hospital bag at week 34 and repack it again at 37
Took the hospital tour at 31w
Pre-registration paperwork was done around 30w
First internal was done at 37w because I was being monitored at the hospital

Trish I saw that your baby is measuring about the same size that mine is...that's pretty funny. I am marvelling at the fact that I might have a *normal* sized baby this time around. Emily was nearly 10 lbs. She was about 2 lbs heavier just a week and a half further along ... so I do think this baby will be a bit smaller. Such a weird concept!
Is your baby in head-down position? This baby is breech and has been for MONTHS. There is a little voice in the back of my head that would have loved to try for a v-birth. It has been 6-years --- wouldn't even have the risks involved with a vbac because it has been so long -- but they aren't going to let that happen if the baby stays breech. I don't see it turning anytime soon because it's getting crowded in there.
I guess I should call my OB office about the pre-registration. They haven't mentioned anything about it. I vaguely remember getting the papers when I did the tour with Emily ... and handing them in a few days later...I will call my OB office today after they open.

Last time, I took the tour around 35 weeks. I was debating signing up for a tour again this time for a refresher (I was on the same floor for my Level 2 at 20 weeks and nothing looked familiar) but, I ended up in L&D this weekend and everything came back to me.

I filled out my paperwork around 24 weeks. There was a major glitch last time and they lost the paperwork so I wanted it done early. I followed up and am now fully registered.
When did you get your first internal?
36 weeks
When do the NSTs begin?
For my last pregnancy, I only got one on my due date so I'm expecting the same this time (well, hopefully I won't be late again...)

Did you pack your hospital bag? I just started working on this over the weekend. I'm basically done. I just want to get a new night gown or lounge wear.
When did you take your hospital tour (and would you take a tour again, if you took one with your first DC but that was 6+ years ago? Same hospital?). I never got around to a tour with DS (4.5 years ago). This time I've been to L&D twice for IV fluids. I'm not going to bother with a tour.
When did you fill out your pre-registration paperwork? I need to ask at my appt today. I think that they already took my information down at an early meeting I had at the office.
When did you get your first internal? My Dr said he'll do the 1st one at 38 wks. However, since they have been watching me with irratic contractions, I've already had too to check for risk of pre-term labor.
When do the NSTs begin? I was early with this. I have a blood clot disorder so for me they started weekly around 32 wks. (This is actually how they picked up the irratic contractions and why I ended up in L&D 2x's.)
I am currently 37 wks.

I just got back from my 34 week appt. baby is measuring 5 lbs 14 ounces !!! No distress and no contractions yet. Did not have an internal. Next week I do the strep b swap. The baby's size put my EDD at march 3rd now instead of march 14 th. I am going to talk with my OB next week to see if my blood pressure and GD are under control enough to go through labor and a v-birth. Oh and last week at my appointment the baby was still heads up (transverse) and I just knew from the pressure that he was head down now - and the sono confirmed he did indeed turn his past week. He is head down in position.
I had a vbac with my DD. Would love another this time. But it's wait and see at this point. Seems like both my boys are/will be big babies!

I have a different mentality since I went super early with DC#1 and never packed my bag, did a tour, took any classes... none of it! Not for lack of wanting, but literally because I had the baby before I ever had a chance to do any of it. And guess what, everything worked out and I had no issues.
My hospital bag - DH went home the night I was hospitalized with instructions on what to bring me (yoga pants, tanks, phone charger, etc).
I did the pre-registration paperwork around the start of my 3rd trimester with DC#1. This time my OB said I don't have to pre-register at all? Maybe because I only had DS 2 years ago?

I never took a hospital tour - I honestly didn't feel it was necessary.
I didn't do pre-registration paperwork either.
My internals started at 36 weeks for #1 (this pregnancy is totally different because of all the complications I have had)
Never had NSTs with my first either.

When did you take your hospital tour (and would you take a tour again, if you took one with your first DC but that was 6+ years ago? Same hospital?) I wouldn't bother unless the hospital had major renovations. We did our tour at 34w
When did you fill out your pre-registration paperwork? never did but I had been admitted at 28 weeks so all my info was in there.
When did you get your first internal? didn't have one until I was admitted hen my water broke (37w)
When do the NSTs begin? mine started at 29w after my hospital stay and was considered high risk....then had them weekly
