What's wrong with Marley?

Marley is about 15 weeks old. This morning when I took her out of her crate, she coughed about 5 times and then gagged (like a cat spitting up a hairball). She seems to be ok otherwise, eating normal and very playful, but then she did it again as DH was holding her when I left for work.

Any ideas what this may be from? We started walking her with a leash and collar about two weeks ago and she seems to be pulling more the past two days causing her to choke. Do you think her throat may be irritated? We are switching to a harness today. Also, she has had two rounds of shots with her final round due next week. Could she be having a reaction? Besides for playgroup once a week, she is not around very many dogs, so I am thinking that it is not kennel cough, but what do I know? I am obviously worried sick

Is it constant with the hacking? Is she hacking up saliva only? Could it be kennel cough?

Rub her trachia a little. If she coughs then i would take her to the vet. If she is not doing it anymore then it could have been a hairball but it could be kennel cough.

ETA: I would still consult your vet, just in case if it is kennel cough you don't want to let that go too long.

She might have an URI...I would definitely contact the vet.
