What's the difference between Claritin and Claritin D?
you can get both without a prescription. Claritin is sold on the shelf, Claritin D you have to ask the pharmacist for.

Claritin D has pseudoephedrine, which is the "D"......the one that is not behind the pharmacy counter does not have this ingredient.

D has the good stuff in it - I can't remember the name of the ingredient, but it's (obviously) the decongenstant. I think if someone has high blood pressure it's not recommended.

Yuo...DH suffers from allergies and only the D helps him - for him the other is a waste because of that one difference.
ETA: D used to be over the counter but because kids were using it to make crystal meth they had to put it behind the counter and id anyone purchasing it.
If only these kids would use their powers for good
