what's the best place to buy a shearling?
I think I really want one for Christmas!!!

I bought mine overseas. This may sound strange, but I always noticed that Daffy's in Manhasset carried really nice ones. I'm not sure what's left considering it's almost the end of December but in the beginning of the season, they had a lot. Otherwise, I would start at some of the higher end department stores to get an idea of what you want and how much they cost.

I know this reply is a bit late, since you were looking for it for Christmas, but Superior Furs in Manhasset has some beautiful shearlings. Years ago, I got mine at LI Fur Co., which is now Alexis and Gianni. Their prices seem rather hight, though.

I was just about to say Daffy's my mother keeps annoying me to go there and get myself one
