What would you do if someone sitting next to you on the train

Decides to shake their umbrella out in the asile literally soaking everyone sitting around her?

Yeah, it happened this morning on the LIRR.

Then this lady proceeds to take her SOAKED UGG boots off... & bangs them together to shake the water off of those in the asile.

Soaking everyone again.

So this dude gets up & curses her out. She apoligizes, then gets on a 20 minute conversation on her cell phone WHILE eating what smelled like a burnt onion bagel.

Ahhh.. Another day on the LIRR. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would move - she clearly has no concept of sharing public space. It's not worth the energy or emotion getting mad or yelling at her since it does not appear she would get it.

Did everyone applaud the guy who cursed her out? Apparently it still did nothing to make her sensitive to the fact that she is not the only rider on the LIRR Chat Icon

Uggh, I'm so glad I don't take the LIRR anymore. 7 years was enough!!

The worst was when a guy got on in a rain storm, and put his umbrella on the overhead rack Chat Icon It's was dripping all over me until I told him that was a stupid place to put it and asked him to take it down Chat Icon

I would have wanted to say something but probably would not have...I would have tried to move and just given her the death stare.

There are some really nasty people on the train...like the woman that pushed into to me this morning to get around me while I waited for the line to move up.

But then there are really nice people on the train...like my DH who after helping me on the train (platform had ice) he turned around to help another woman who was slipping. Chat Icon

I would take off my socks AND my shoes and start cutting my toenails. Using her wet umbrella to catch the pieces.

Re: What would you do if someone sitting next to you on the train

nice...that's one for the book. Can I use it? I will give you credit.

I had the guy next to me searching in his bag while jamming me with his elbow for 20 minutes. Is it so important that you search for something for 20 minutes while in the middle seat? Jamming me in my side. Hey, dude, do you have an extra kidney I can borrow?
