What would you do?

I scheduled family/holiday pictures for October 24. My DH informed me last night that he's going away that weekend for his friends 40th bday. He had agreed years ago to do a family shoot every other year, and this is the year. My photographer only has November 7. Do you think it's going to be too cold? I'm debating if I should switch it or just keep the October date and just do pictures of the kids? What would you do?

Switch it. Nov 7 is still in the period where it could be warm. From end of October to mid Nov there are days it can be warm out and even in the cold the pics can come out beautiful. We did pics in early Nov last year. I had these Gap vest jackets for the boys to wear and it was so warm out that day. I put it on the boys for some pics, but had to take them off after bc they were getting too hot. Leaves were all on the ground and we got great shots of the boys throwing it at each other.

Take November 7th. I dont think it will be too cold. My family has yet to do a family shoot. My kids are almost 6 and 3 and a half

I'd reschedule.

Even if it's freezing, the session goes by quick.
