What would you do?

Slowly, but surely we have started to tell people that I am pregnant. We live far away from family and friends so when we see them, we tell them in person. Two weeks ago we told a few of DHs friends. Last night, I finally saw my friends and told them. Apparently one of DHs friends told one my friends that we were expecting after we specifically asked them to tell NOONE. Would you say something to DHs friend or just let it go? I am not saying in a confrontational way - more like joking around. This pregnancy took us so long to achieve so I am kinda mad he stole our thunder....

I would let it go. That was crappy of them, but some people are bad at keeping in good news....I am one of them!

They were probably just so excited. I told my mom and my grandmother at 5 weeks, and my whole family was at a wedding abound that time, and everyone was congratulating me by the end. It turns out that it was impossible for them to keep it in once they had some wine, lol.

Its kind of crappy, but it wasn't malicious. And you will still get lots of thunder at your shower, throughout your pregnancy, etc.

I would be really annoyed, so I hear where you're coming from. But at the end of the day you're pregnant and that's wonderful and no one was trying to be malicious so I would let it go.

I think you have to let it go. Even if you asked him not to say anything, you have to figure that once you start telling people it will get around. Personally, if there are other people you want to tell yourself, I'd let them know sooner than later, rather than waiting to see each person.

I am totally nonconfrontational so I wasn't going to say anything to him anyway. These two people are totally unrelated so that is why it makes even less sense. My entire family has been keeping this a secret for 10 weeks and this guy could not keep his mouth shut for one day.

Thanks for letting me vent. I am not even telling my DH about it because he will be hurt.

We have told everyone close to us now so it is irrelevant at this point.
