What would you do?
So I am 7w2d pre go and sick as dog. I have tried netti pot, cough drops, garglingnwith salt, humidifier, steam in bathroom, vices vapor rub etc. Still feel like poop!
I feel if I go to the dr she is going to put me on antibiotics and I am scared to take anything in the first trimester.
Help me!!!!

as long as the doc knows youre pregnant theres no reason why you cant take a prescription med... not all meds are bad while youre pregnant

agreed. . and you don't want it to develop into something worse . .one other alternative can be acupuncture. my acupuncturist got rid of an AWFUL cold of mine in the first trimester. . I did end up taking antibiotics for something in the 3rd bc I was so sick . . I hate taking drugs in general and def when preggo but sometimes you need to to take care of yourself and your LO

It is more harmful to your baby to have a bad infection and not take anything than to take approved antibiotics. Your baby needs you to be healthy! Call your doctor.

ITA - just tell the Dr in advance and if you want you can call your OB and run the meds by them that you are prescribed - that is what I do
