What would you do?
Sorry in advance for the length.
I am about 6 w 3 d preggo, its hard to determine since my ob missed my ovulation date and I havent gotten a period in a few months. Anyway, I was taking provera, a progesterone drug a few weeks ago to bring on my period but obviously never got it b/c I was preggo. I have done tons of research and it is not good to be on povera while pregnant there can be birth defects and stuff. The fertility doc and my ob say that I am ok because the fetus was not really there yet and that the any birth defects usually are with reporductive organs and the organs dont develop until well over a month. The ob said I could go to a genetist to ease my mind if I absolutely wanted. WOuld you or don't worry since both docs don't seem concerned?
PS - I just saw the heart beat and everything seems to be progressing well.

Seeing the heartbeat is a good sign. If you want to feel better, then definitely go to the genetist to ease your mind.
btw, I took Provera a few months PPD b/c I never got my period and my doctor insisted on a pregnancy test before she gave me the medication. Your doctor didn't make you take a pregnancy test?

Yes he did and it came back negative, they think I ovulated the next day or so, ughghghghg. I guess I should be happy and just enjoy but I worry.

I agree with Diane, Congrats!
I agree with diane and dina.
Try to enjoy, if you really need that piece of mind take that next step, but i would go with the dr's.
