Re: what would you do
It depends... How long have you been at the job?
If you leave and start a new one you will NOT be elegible for FMLA (where you have to be at an employer for 1 year)
Just something to consider...

Re: what would you do
I think you may lose out on getting benefits when you leave this job and start a new one. Meaning, if you start another one, I don't think you will get any type of pay or disabilty coverage will you are on maternity leave

unless the job was affecting my physical or mental health, i would **** it up and not even attempt to make a move.

Ditto. Although a perspective employer cannot not hire you because you are PG, they just may give a different reason for not taking you on board. I would live with it for the time being...while you are out on maternity leave you can look for something new.

i think i may go this route. I have been at my job 2 years and we really don't get "maternity leave" we only get what we earn and so far i have 160 hours towards my "maternity leave" by the time sept roles around i should have enough for 3 months off. The "maternity leave" issue is one of the reasons i don't like working here.

Re: what would you do
I'm having the same problem. I HATE my current job. I keep debating finding another one right now or wait. I am also going to try to find something while I'm out on maternity leave. I don't expect to find anything though since I've been looking for a LONG time for something decent and there hasn't been anything. Good luck to you!

I don't get it. doesn't that mean that you are going to get paid for 3 months then? that's pretty good.
