What would you do?

Kevin is going for a Cat-Scan on Tuesday morning (9 AM) and will be give a light sedative for the test. Here's the thing...

Between 12 AM - 3 AM - he can have a bottle

3 AM - 6 AM - only clear liquids

After 6 AM - Nothing by mouth

Should I wake him up around 2AM and give him a bottle? And then again (assuming I can get him back to sleep) around 5 AM for some water? He normally wakes up between 6 AM - 7 AM and doesw not get up for feedings anymore. I don't want him to be hungry but I also don't want him to start wanting a bottle in the middle of the night again...

I would definately wake him to eat. I assume you will be a wreck already in the morning. A screaming hungry baby that you can't feed wont help. I dont think one time will set him off schedule.

That day is going to be so far out of routine already that I don't think you have to worry that a feeding during the night would be the cause of trouble.

Tough choice though - what if he doesn't fall back asleep easy -- they you have a tired and hungry baby in the morning.

I'd probably just let the baby sleep, and if he woke up on his own during the allowable hours, I'd feed him.

I would dreamfeed him in his sleep at 2am . You don't need to wake him. There is also no need to burp him since they don't really gulp air when they eat if they're sleeping.

At 5am, I would give him either water or pedialyte for the vitamins (if you're allowed).

and for you:
