What would you do?
I have tickets to (what I call) the concert of a lifetime tomorrow night....the thing is, this concert is something I always share with my best friend,a nd I purchased the tickets for us to go together.
She cannot make the concert, and honestly, I can't imagine going with anyone else but her...
I'm thinking of trying to sell them (at face value) or a little less to recoup some of the money....
DH said he'd go with me...but the music is totally not for him...
ETS: I can get tickets for the same concert (part of a tour) at MSG next week...

Well I was going to say, I would make DH suffer and come with me if I REALLY wanted to see the show.
But since you added you can get tickets for another show next week, I would sell the 1st set and go with my friend if they can make it next week.

Christine, don't sell the tix until you have the tix for next week IN HAND (or at least en route)
I just can't see you missing this concert.
as for taking someone with you...what about Julien? your mom..your aunt...someone you know you will have fun with.
don't take Ricky if he's not going to enjoy. you won't either.
and you need to enjoy this to the MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you get the tickets next week & the friend can go, then I would do it & sell the ones you have.
But I would have to find a way to let DH down & explain why I don't want to go with just him.

I agree! Wait until you have the tickets before you sell these. You cannot miss this concert!!

If it was the concert of a lifetime I would go both times and enjoy it just as much each time. Even if your dh does not likem the music a concert is always entertaining. I was in a similiar situation with tickets my mom came with me maybe you can find someone besides your dh to go.

Yes, it's Mary J and Jay-Z...and I just put them on ebay....if you want them (seriously) - they're yours.

Maybe your DH will have fun?
My DH isn't into Rascall Flatts, but I brought him anyway. He actually enjoyed himself. He loved the entertainment and energy. It's more than the music when you see it live.

but it's a RAP & R&B Concert....there is no way that he'd "handle" something like that...
