what were your symptoms
when you realized you were going into labor? like, for a few days before, were you feeling any different and now can look back and say 'oh yea!'

I think my only symptoms were period-type cramps and dull lower back pain. That started a day or two before labor really began.

Things seemed fast considering it was my first child. On Tuesday I was 1cm and on Wed. I lost my muscus plug. Wed. afternoon I had period like cramps and they got progessively intense and thats when I knew I was in labor but I continued to clean and then got ready to go to my SIL house for my nieces birthday. When we got home that night they were 4 min apart last almost a min and then I went to the hospital and was admitted and was 5-6cm.

I am so nervous about not knowing what to expect and this is my 2nd!! With my 1st, my water broke, and I had a c/s. He was breech, so I never got to experience labor.

I knew for "sure" when I lost my mucus plug... That evening menstrual type cramps started and got worse throughout the night into the morning then our DD was born that day

Lets just say I had a bad stomach - and indigestion. 
My water broke early - I was induced, and had a c-section. So I'm not really sure what real labor feels like.

I felt generally crappy 2 days before, the night before I had an upset stomach. I started losing my plug 2 weeks before, but more came out the 2 days before and it was a little bloody.
