With both pregnancies I have gained the most weight in the last 10 weeks of the pregnancy. Both times I would say that I gained about 10 pounds in those final weeks.

week 12 - up 5 lbs
week 16 - up 8 lbs
week 21 (almost 22) - up 16 lbs
doctor said i'm right on target
ETA: i obviously didn't read the question correctly  you mean weeks 30-40, not the 10 weeks that have just passed.

oh, that doesnt sound too bad. I Just dont want to gain 15-20 more
Iam 31 weeks and Ive gained 27 lbs so far Just trying to figure out what the next 10 wks will bring

I think the average is around 1 lb for every week at the end.

I didn't gain much at all in the first 2 trimesters, most of my weight gain has been since 26 weeks.
1st tri: 2.5 lbs
2nd tri: 11 lbs
3rd tri so far: 24 lbs
Total at 37 weeks: 37.5

Between weeks 30-36 (I delieverd early, week 37) I gained 14 pounds for a grand total of 50 by the time I delivered
