DD has been going to a "Practically Preschool" class since 18 months old, 1-2 mornings a week. It's a classroom setting and they do lots of art projects, songs etc. Each class only has children within 6 months of the same age. She's now turning 3 and I decided to look into other places by us just to compare.

This morning DH and I toured another preschool. It was definitely more "cozy", but I'm not sure if it wasn't more daycare/less preschool...or if they are all like this. All classes are mixed ages from 2-4. She can do any amount of mornings we want (9-11:45am). They have circle time, music, arts and crafts etc. I did like it but I'm not sure if it matters that they mix 2-4 year olds in one class? I'm not sure WHAT I should be looking for or expecting for a 3 year old program. I will say...these kids this morning knew letter recognition (even the younger kids), which DD does not know, so that impressed me.

Ok babbling over...what do you look for in a 3's program? What should they be doing/learning? Am I overthinking this bc they are still basically babies??
