what to to bring to closing?
Hi just curious what papers should I bring to closing?

you're license and the checks your lawyer tells you to bring...and your personal checkbook. bring some cash too, you usually tip the closer $100. your attorney will let you know.

Agreed! Just make sure that both of you have photo ID, if you and your DH's names are on the house.
I did not give anyone cash, I just wrote personal checks to tip.

they work for the title company. they do most of the work at closing and i hear dont get paid very well. they're on the phone most of the time with the seller's bank getting exact numbers and they hold the escrow money. so it's a curtosy to tip them. my attorney told me to bring $100 cash for them.

Just an fyi - DH and I had to bring two photo id's each. I used my passport and license.

I had to bring a few different ID's with me. When we bought the land and signed the contract for construction we werent married yet and when we closed we were married so I had to bring in ID with my maiden name and ID with my married name plus my marriage certificate.
We also brought with us a certified check (per our builders request) and some cash just in case.
Also since you'll be signing a lot of papers a nice pen that wont hurt your hand. We brought one of those easy grip pens with us.
