What to send after surgery?
My daughter's friend's mom just had surgery and will be home later today. Besides flowers and Edible Arrangements, what can I send? I'd like something "useful" and I can't think of anything.

Food. When I had my knee surgery we were always eating take out.

either send over a dish you're known for or a gift card to a local restaurant.

I think you can do a fresh direct or pea pod gift card also. take out is great but if there are kids in the house, they still may need the basics.
amazon gift card is also good for things/household supplies that the person can't physically shop for.
if they are a reader, you can do a giftcard for digital books or something like that. I'm assuming they have a netflix subscription.
