what to expect at 1st postpartum visit?

My ob said to come in 2-3 weeks after birth (vbirth w/ stitches). I'm almost at that point and am curious to know if they do an internal or just look to see if you are healing?

Normally pp visits are at 6 weeks... When I had mine, my ob just wanted to see how I was healing and if there were any sutures left to remove. He also wanted to make sure my uterus had moved back into place and if I was experiencing any stomach pain. Also discussed birth control options and may set up next pap appt.

I had a c and went in 6 weeks pp.

The nurse took my blood pressure and weight.

My dr. did an internal; a pap smear and also to check my uterus. Then we spent a lot of time discussing birth control and I asked her about exercising.
