What to expect after dental work - 4yo
My 4yo is going in for a baby root canal this afternoon and I'm a nervous wreck. They will be using the gas to knock him out a bit, but what should I expect? Is he going to be out of it when it's over and for how long? Is this procedure painful? I've never had major dental work myself, so I'm totally clueless. TIA!

I'm so sorry your DS is going through this. My 3 year old DD has to have work like this done next week and I;m a nervous wreck. Do you mind if I ask how he did with the gas? Was it enough to do the work or did they need to sedate him more?

He did great! My husband took him bc I couldnt handle it lol. They gave him the gas and my husband said he wasn't himself, but as soon as he got up form the chair he was fine. He did have some pain last night and couldn't really eat, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. Good luck to you and your little one!

Thank you. We're trying to decide whether to go this route or just get the tooth pulled. Makes me feel better knowing they can do it w/o sedation. Hope your LO feels better soon!
