What stroller are you getting?
I'm sure this has been posted before, but I can't seem to figure out how to search for old threads (it was SO much easier on LIW).
Anyway, curious what stroller everyone is getting, especially those who live in the city/don't have a car (thus, weight not as important).
I'm stuck between two and have been going back and forth daily. My friends are split - half have one I'm considering, the other half have the other. So, they aren't helping me at all.
TIA!

Re: What stroller are you getting?
I registered for the Uppababy Vista when I was pregnant with my first. I love love love the stroller. I lived in a relatively urban area. I probably drove twice a week and the rest I walked. It was a good city and car stroller, not really heavy at all. I wound up buying myself a bugaboo early on, but returned it, only because the vista gave me the option of the second seat and the bugaboo had to be slightly disassembled to put in the car. Otherwise I think both were great strollers.
My one (slight) regret is if I knew I was going to have two relatively close together I may have given more thought to the city select. While the vista can be converted to a double the city select has so many more double options. Hope this helps!

Re: What stroller are you getting?
Thanks for the feedback on the Uppa Baby! Those are the two I'm wavering between - that and the Cameleon. People have told me that the Cameleon is easier to steer/a bit smoother, but I like the under carriage size of the Vista as well as the single fold.

Uppa Baby Vista
The reason I'm not getting the Cameleon is bc the weight limit is 37.5 pounds as opposed to the Uppa baby which has a weight limit of 50 pounds

Re: What stroller are you getting?
The basket on the Vista is amazing, I could fit quite a few groceries, dry cleaning, and my bag in it! Cup holder on the other hand, stinks!

When I was looking for strollers for my first I was stuck on this same two. I opted for the vista simply becuase the basket is bigger, and I liked that it was higher. You should try both of them out they are both great stollers.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
I was torn between the Uppa Baby Vista and the City Select. I ended up going with the Vista because I thought it was overall better quality. The seat had better padding, the bassinet, which is included, is far better, and it was lighter. In most other areas they were pretty comparable.
The Select did have the advantage of converting to a better double, but I figured I'd cross that bridge if I ever come to it. It didn't make sense to me to chose it for it's double potential because who knows if I will ever even need a double.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
Test drive them both. Go to the store, try to fold them, set them up, lift them (because there will be times when you need to get it into a car), push them with one hand while trying to drink from a water bottle, and make sure you can store or hang a large bag. That should help you make a decision!

I live in the suburbs so you might not care lol. But I had a Peg Perego Pliko P3 with DD and I absolutely adored it. Fabulous stroller.
I now have a Britax B Ready since I can use it with two and it's great too. Very similar to both the uppababy and the city select (in fact, it uses the uppababy snack tray that clicks right in, it's the same attachment!). I actually like snapping off the top seat to stick it in the car. Makes it fit well. I love all the million configurations. Great basket -- even better than my snap n go had! Steers great.
In that price bracket, I don't think you can really go wrong whatever you choose. Definitely go try everything out! Folding strollers can be tricky.

We're getting the Chicco cortina magic stroller, which got very good reviews, but we mostly picked it because it fits the Chicco carseat we're getting.

Thanks!! We spent an hour at BBB trying both of them, but didn't think of things like pushing with one hand. Thanks for the tip!

I am actually getting the BOB because it is a running stroller and I am a runner but it is also an all terrain one. I would go to the store and really see which one you like it's your best bet!

Re: What stroller are you getting?
we got the Uppa Baby Vists with DS1 - LOVED it! It got annoying after a while since it is large.
We then got the city mini and although I love how lightweight and easy it is, the basket really really REALLY stinks compared to the Vista.
Ill go back to using the Vista once #2 comes.

We got the City Mini GT; I like it so far. I don't need a stroller all that much and it's lightweight.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
I couldn't get myself to spend that kind of $ on a stroller so we got the snap and go for early on and then got a a graco metrolight for everyday (so light and easy to fold down) and a jeep jogging stroller for the beach, trails, long walks, etc. All 3 ended up being purchased off my registry so we got lucky.
IMHO you don't need to spend a million bucks to have a good stroller.
One of my very good friends has the city mini and she loves it.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
I live near the city but also have a car we use occasionally, so we opted for the UppaBaby Cruz. The wheels and width are a little smaller, but still has all the great features of the Vista (except bassinet). We just put it together last night! Actually it comes basically assembled, you just pop the wheels on. Can't wait to use it!!

Re: What stroller are you getting?
We registered for a city mini and uppa baby cruz. We really want the cruz but the price tag is a little high so we're hoping someone would get us the city mini. We also registered for the Uppa Baby G-Lux when LO is ready to sit in an umbrella stroller.
We live in BK and I dont drive so I needed things that are light and can be carried on the subway
