Oatmeal cereal. Her face turned red and blotch with a rash. Looked like a bad sunburn. The first time I gave her she had reaction the next morning, then gave again a second time (3 weeks after first time as per peds) she had same reaction a little bit after giving her.

Re: what solids have your babies been allergic to?
1st DD baby food carrots-she puked and a got a rash and turned casper white for 2 hours. Reintroduced 2 months later-NO reaction at all and now eats carrots and loves them. Strawberries used to give a her a rash on her face and neck, and she grew out of that one too within 2 months of 1st introduction. She can eat a lb of those now for lunch with no reaction.
2nd DD-oatmeal-broke out in rash, cranky, irritable, soon as we stopped oatmeal everything cleared up. Reintroduced it 2 months later, no reaction at all, eats it twice a day now.
Babies grow out of most allergies i am told by doc, it makes me nervous though cause my 2nd DD is on neocate, so we have NO CLUE what she is allergic too.

Re: what solids have your babies been allergic to?
DS...oatmeal and his face broke out in a rash. Even if it was those premixed jarred fruits with oatmeal in it. I tried at 4 months, 6 months then again around 10 months and at 10 months he was fine. The only other thing I had problems with were fruit that were highly acidic because he would get a diaper rash. As long as I put A LOT of diaper cream on him before I gave him the fruit he wouldn't get a rash. The ped. told me when he would urinate it would irrate his skin.
DD..she is allergic to egg and dairy. She also had a reaction to oatmeal but I reintroduced it a few months later and now eats it every morning for breakfest. She had severe eczema and was always itchy. I finially brought her to an allergist who did a skin and blood test and he confirmed the dairy and egg allergy. She is also allergic to peaches and mangos. She would break out in a rash and then the eczema would turn up. I haven't reintroduced that just yet. She also had a reaction to soy and samething with the rash. I think she outgrew that one because I have soy yogurt recently and no problems.

Re: what solids have your babies been allergic to?
Dairy. First with cheese, then a worse reaction to yogurt 2 weeks later.
With the cheese, it was just a small piece and she got a blotchy rash around her mouth and her nose got all runny.
With the yogurt, she got really fussy about 2 minutes after we started feeding, then her face swelled and got a red rash with hives. Her tongue swelled, she was drooling and her nose was running like crazy. Her hands got red from the exposure to the allergen when she rubbed her face.
It was a terrifying experience.
